Mario Moškon Šarunić
His primary position at Bold Studio is a colourist, but he also works on post-production. Mario was born in 1975 in Zagreb. Fascinated with computer graphics since his early years, interested in everything from computer games to computer generated imagery. He started his career at the age of 16 as a freelance graphic designer for a local ads magazine. Two dimensions and stills just weren't enough so he started exploring 3D animation and video editing which led him to his next job. He worked at two local TV stations as video editor (linear and non-linear systems) gaining massive experience in all aspects of TV production, from working under tight deadlines for daily news to chroma keying, motion graphics, titling, etc.
After 5 years of doing that he moved to one of the largest production houses at the time, Plavi Film in Zagreb, where he spent 11 years working as lead 2D/3D and VFX artist. He worked on various TVCs, music videos, corporate and industrial films including lots of award-winning projects and clients like Adris, Coca-Cola, Jamnica, Dukat, Karlovačka pivovara, Ožujsko pivo, L'Oreal, Nestle, Pepsi, Peugeot, RBA, T-Com, Večernji list, VW...
Although not colourist by title, he did colour grading for most of Plavi Film projects. He fell in love with tools and techniques that make images "pretty" so he made another switch in his career and joined Bold Studio Zagreb in 2011 where he started working as VFX artist and colourist on award-winning DaVinci software, a standard in post production since 1984.
