Ana Horvat
Born in Zagreb in 1977, she studied at the Academy of Fine Art, teacher training department for sculpture, mentored by professor Miro Vuco. So far she has done different things. In terms of creative work and art, sculpture, installations and sometimes video. Lately she sews sculptures quite often and does sewing in video works. She likes absurd humour, subtle irony, grotesque characters and nice monsters, but she also likes simple forms.
Ana is interested in motion and its expressivity in all media. She has also made stage puppets, costumes, design and sewing rag dolls, and ultimately animation – somewhat more than anything else. She worked on the animated series Laku noć Hrvatska and original films Dr. Zodiac’s Fantastic Odyssey by Matija Pisačić and My Way by Svjetlan Junaković.
